These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to the ShareBill app ("Application") for mobile devices, created by Artem Bobrov ("Service Provider", "we", "us", or "our") as a Freemium service.
By downloading, installing, or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Application.
1 Description of Service
ShareBill is an expense tracking and bill splitting application that allows users to:
- Create groups and add participants
- Track shared expenses and individual contributions
- Calculate debts and settlements between participants
- Scan receipts using AI technology (Premium feature)
- Attach location data and images to expenses
The Application is provided for personal, non-commercial use to help organize shared expenses among friends, family, roommates, and other groups.
2 Account Registration
2.1 Account Creation
To use certain features of the Application, you must create an account using one of the following methods:
- Sign in with Apple
- Sign in with Google
- Continue as Guest (Anonymous)
2.2 Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
2.3 Account Security
We strongly advise against jailbreaking or rooting your device, as this may compromise security features and cause the Application to malfunction.
3 Premium Subscriptions and In-App Purchases
3.1 Premium Features
The Application offers Premium subscriptions that unlock additional features, including but not limited to:
- Receipt scanning with AI-powered text extraction
- Additional customization options
3.2 Subscription Options
We offer the following subscription plans:
- Monthly Subscription: Billed monthly
- Yearly Subscription: Billed annually
Actual prices may vary by location and are displayed in the Application before purchase.
3.3 Billing and Auto-Renewal
Important: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Payment: All payments are processed through Apple's App Store
- Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- Renewal Charges: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price
- Price Changes: Subscription prices may change. You will be notified of any price changes before they take effect
3.4 Managing Subscriptions
To manage or cancel your subscription:
- Open your device's Settings
- Tap your Apple ID at the top
- Select Subscriptions
- Find and select ShareBill
- Choose Cancel Subscription or modify your plan
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to Premium features until then.
3.5 Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple in accordance with their refund policies. The Service Provider does not directly process refunds.
3.6 Free Trial
If offered, free trial periods automatically convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends. The free trial may only be used once per Apple ID.
4 User Content
4.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Application, including:
- Expense information and descriptions
- Receipt images and attachments
- Group names and descriptions
- Profile information
4.2 License Grant
By submitting content to the Application, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Application's services.
4.3 Content Restrictions
You agree not to submit content that:
- Is illegal, harmful, or fraudulent
- Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
- Contains malware or malicious code
- Violates the privacy of others
- Is false, misleading, or deceptive
4.4 Content Removal
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, at our sole discretion.
5 Artificial Intelligence Features
5.1 Receipt Scanning
The Application uses Google's Gemini AI (via Firebase AI) to extract text from receipt images. By using this feature:
- You acknowledge that receipt images are sent to Google's servers for processing
- You consent to AI processing of your uploaded content
- You understand that AI extraction may not be 100% accurate
5.2 AI Limitations
The AI features are provided "as is" and may:
- Produce inaccurate or incomplete results
- Fail to recognize certain text or formats
- Be unavailable due to third-party service disruptions
You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of AI-extracted data before saving expenses.
6 Financial Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: The Application is a tool for tracking and organizing shared expenses. It is NOT a financial, accounting, or legal service.
6.1 No Financial Advice
- The Application does not provide financial, tax, or legal advice
- Settlement calculations are for convenience only and should not be relied upon for official financial records
- The Service Provider is not a financial institution
6.2 Accuracy Disclaimer
While we strive for accuracy in calculations:
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of expense calculations or settlement suggestions
- You are responsible for verifying all amounts and settlements
- The Service Provider is not liable for any financial decisions made based on the Application's calculations
6.3 Currency Conversions
Currency conversion rates are provided for reference only and may not reflect current market rates. We are not responsible for discrepancies in currency conversions.
7 Account Deletion
7.1 Your Right to Delete
You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the Application:
- Go to Settings
- Select Delete Data
- Confirm deletion
7.2 Effects of Deletion
Account deletion will permanently remove:
- Your user profile and authentication credentials
- All expenses you created
- Your participation in all groups
- All receipt images and attachments
- Your notification preferences and tokens
If you are the last participant in a group, the entire group and its data will be deleted.
7.3 Data Retention After Deletion
Following account deletion, your data may be retained:
- In anonymized, aggregated analytics
- In other users' records where you were a participant (expense names may remain but will no longer be linked to your profile)
- As required by law

9 Intellectual Property
9.1 Our Rights
The Application, including its design, features, code, and content (excluding user content), is owned by the Service Provider and protected by intellectual property laws.
9.2 Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Application
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
- Use our trademarks without permission
- Redistribute or resell the Application
9.3 Feedback
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the Application may be used by us without obligation to you.
10 Limitation of Liability
10.1 Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
- ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF CALCULATIONS
10.2 Limitation of Damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE PROVIDER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
- Service interruptions or data loss
- Financial losses resulting from reliance on the Application's calculations
- Actions of other users or third parties
10.3 Maximum Liability
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Application shall not exceed the amount you paid for Premium subscriptions in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.
11 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Service Provider from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Application
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of third parties
- Content you submit to the Application
12 Internet and Device Requirements
12.1 Internet Connection
The Application requires an internet connection for most features. We are not responsible for:
- Application limitations due to lack of internet access
- Data charges from your mobile provider
- Roaming charges when using the Application abroad
12.2 Device Requirements
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining a compatible device and operating system
- Keeping your device charged and functional
- Installing Application updates when available
13 Updates and Changes
13.1 Application Updates
We may update the Application to add features, fix bugs, or improve performance. You agree to install updates when available. We do not guarantee continued compatibility with older operating system versions.
13.2 Service Changes
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Application at any time, with or without notice.
14 Termination
14.1 By You
You may stop using the Application and delete your account at any time.
14.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Application if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
- Abuse the Application or its users
14.3 Effects of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your license to use the Application ends immediately
- You must delete the Application from your devices
- Provisions that by nature should survive will continue (including limitations of liability and indemnification)
15 Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service Provider resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Application shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.
16 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
17 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Service Provider regarding the Application.
18 Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted within the Application and the "Last Updated" date will be revised. Your continued use of the Application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
